What's New & Noteworthy 07.04.25
Happy Monday! How was your weekend? I meant to write this on Friday but got sidetracked writing another post and ran out of time! Anyway, let’s get into this week’s (Friday’s) new-ins, some sales and what I’m watching!
Trousers: Saint Laurent is proving exactly why it earned a reputation for impeccable tailoring with these trousers. Perfect for both the office and the weekend, they’re a true quality staple.
Vest: Very into prints this spring/summer and gingham is right up there with my favourites. This vest is cut with a very flattering silhouette which would look great with something more flared on the bottom like a pleated skirt or linen shorts.
Sunglasses: Saint Laurent nails sunglasses every time.
Dress: What a great summer dress! It has the potential to slot into a vacation evening look with sandals and a raffia bag or on the other hand, add a diamond-clad necklace and stilettos and it’s fit for a formal soiree.
Jacket: I love how this jacket can lean so many ways as well, it’s not too casual while still maintaining a polished feel. This is definitely one you could get plenty of wear out of.
Bracelet: I am obsessed with Roxanne Assoulin’s jewellery, just look at them! The brand makes a lot of trio bracelets which is helpful if you’re looking to build a stack, plus her jewellery always has a fun and playful feel.
Sandals: Thin and minimalist, these Proenza Schouler sandals feel very elegant indeed. Because of the detailing around the ankle, I’d be inclined to wear them with a shorter hemline.
Swimsuit: I love swimsuits made from this kind of thicker, woven material. They feel a lot more high-quality and comfortable.
Coat: Last year, Prada had us going crazy for its barn jacket, this year, I think it’s set to be this gorgeous suede coat. Longer than a jacket but not as long as a trench coat, this in-between style is perfect for spring.
Jacket: Nili Lotan has been giving us some really great jackets this season. I love how this piece has a boho-chic feel while still feeling modern.
Shorts: To be honest, I’ve been hesitant to wear shorts like this out because I was afraid people might think I’ve accidentally stepped out in my pyjama shorts. But over time, they’ve grown on me and they are trending for spring/summer. I think the key is adding more structured pieces like a blazer and loafers to balance the casualness.
Jacket: This Dries Van Noten jacket feels like an elevated track jacket, one that’s still comfortable and casual but also smart and clean. Pair with a leather skirt and flats for a casual chic look.
Harvey Nichols Sales!
On Saturday I took a quick gander around my version of heaven — Harvey Nichols. It’s heaven because I could spend all day looking around and trying on every single item and also torture because I want to take everything home with me. Anyway, they had some great new spring items and sales.

Other thoughts and things from this week
I played Padel last weekend and while my outfit was serving, I certainly was not. It was my first time playing and I was laughably bad at it, but hey, you have to start somewhere! My arms, legs and shoulders were aching for four days afterwards which was enough to convince me I definitely need to be more active.
I was stuck for something new to watch this week, so, I went back to a trusty favourite: The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. I used to watch it religiously along with the Kardashians (don’t judge me, I see you) but stopped for some reason. The last time I watched Rhobh was over 10 years ago around the same time Yolanda was telling Gigi Hadid to eat half an almond. Maybe that was my breaking point. Anyway, now I’ve returned to watching season 9. I forgot that each season has around 24 episodes which is perfect for binging.
I ended up finishing Severance this weekend with more questions than answers. That ending though…I’m not crying, you are.
Hope you have a wonderful week,
Til next time,
Sophie xx
A Spring Wardrobe Refresh
Looking through my recent Pinterest saves for spring inspo, I started noticing a pattern. So, I thought I’d make a post about what spring is shaping up to look like including all of the textures, colours and pieces on my mind leading up to it.
